Early Morning Academics Pay Off for Accounting Senior

Hard work paid off for Macayla Wildrick — literally. The University of Toledo senior made it a habit to log onto the Blackboard online course portal at 5 a.m., then dedicate a few hours to cash flows and tax law before seeing her 8-year-old off to school and heading into a 9-to-5. Now she’s one of three UToledo accounting students selected to receive a $15,000 scholarship through the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Scholars Program.
