MAUMEE, Ohio (WTVG) — For the first time in eight years, the Maumee City School District has a levy on the ballot calling for a 1.25% income tax. Superintendent Steve Lee said if the levy passes, it would generate nearly $6 million and help pull the district out of a $4 million fiscal deficit. District cites expenses outpacing revenue “We have come to that point as a school district where our expenditures are exceeding our revenue,” Lee said.
