Voters in parts of Wood County will decide several fire and emergency medical tax questions on Nov. 3, 2026, according to the county Board of Elections' certified Questions and Issues List, dated Sept. 3, 2026.
The key difference is the type of levy. A renewal continues a tax already in place. An additional levy adds a new tax.
Perrysburg Township has an additional levy for fire and EMS, listed at 3.5 mills for five years. It would start in 2026, with the first collection in calendar year 2027.
The South East Ambulance District also has an additional levy, listed at 3 mills for five years. The list says it would provide funds for ambulance service and emergency medical services. It would start in 2026, with first collection in 2027.
Four townships have renewals:
Center Township: 1.2 mills for four years for fire and ambulance, starting in 2026.
Freedom Township: 3 mills for three years for fire and ambulance, starting in 2026.
Perry Township: 2 mills for three years for fire protection, starting in 2027, first due in 2028.
Webster Township: 3.1 mills for three years for EMS and fire, starting in 2027, first due in 2028.
The same ballot also carries other local questions, including road, school and park issues. Only voters in each listed jurisdiction would vote on its question. The list shows what is on the ballot, not what voters will decide.
