Toledo 18-year-old indicted on murder charges in deadly Weiler Homes shooting

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - An 18-year-old accused of shooting and killing a man at the Weiler Homes in Toledo has been indicted on multiple felony charges, according to court records. On Oct. 14, a Lucas County grand jury indicted Delijah Ploof on two counts of murder, one count of felonious assault, one count of tampering with evidence and multiple weapons charges. Jermaine Smith, 52, was found shot around 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 in the 800 block of Boles Drive, police said. He died at the hospital. Ploof was arrested and charged with murder and felonious assault the next day, police said.
