Toledo’s next conference game comes against an Eastern Michigan team that has won its first three MAC games, setting up a road test after the Rockets’ four-game winning streak ended on Homecoming.
Kickoff is Saturday, Oct. 17, at 3:30 p.m. at Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti. The game streams on ESPN+ and airs on the Rocket Radio Network. Toledo enters 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the MAC; Eastern Michigan is 4-3 overall and 3-0 in league play.
The Rockets lost 23-8 to Buffalo on Oct. 10. They lost three fumbles, committed 15 penalties for 137 yards and converted three of 14 third downs. Those results stand in contrast to the previous road game, a 39-24 win at Ball State in which Toledo rushed for 352 yards.
Eastern Michigan beat Akron 25-23 last week. UToledo’s current game notes say the Eagles’ 3-0 conference start is their first since 1995. That distinction applies to league games, not their overall record.
There is recent history at the same venue. Toledo won the last meeting 29-28 in Ypsilanti on Nov. 2, 2024. The teams did not meet in 2025. The Rockets have won three straight MAC road games dating to last season, according to their game notes.
Editor’s note: Updated Oct. 15 with current conference records and matchup history. Eastern Michigan is undefeated in MAC play, not overall.
