TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A work zone crash on the Ohio Turnpike near Interstate 280 seriously injured a construction worker early Tuesday morning. The Swanton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, which took place in the turnpike’s westbound lanes in Lake Township around 1:30 a.m. Authorities said a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Bowling Green driver pulled into traffic from a work zone, where he was struck by a semi driven by a 35-year-old Bedford man. Both vehicles then entered the work area, where a 29-year-old construction worker from Parma was hit.
