TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Joshua Shields wants to see the home next door addressed before his family gets hurt. He has lived on Airport Highway near Hanover in Toledo for six years. “It’s just been a nightmare living there,” Shields said. Shields said the building is dangerous and his kids can’t play outside because of it. The foundation is crumbling, leaving a gaping hole to the basement. Shields has pictures that show it’s become a dumping ground. The backyard is similar with pictures showing furniture and junk piling up. “The pile is ever-growing,” Shields said.
